Placido Frances was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 10th of the match, Filomeno Chaime tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Placido Frances got in the way and made a wonderful save. In the 11th match minute, Rivas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by German Senen to maneuver through the defense. Placido Frances made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anier Enol in the 15th minute. 16 minutes into the match, Rivas's goal looked a bit too open when Filomeno Chaime came free, but Placido Frances reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anier Enol kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 19thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Rivas's keeper Placido Frances was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Placido Frances took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filomeno Chaime, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. German Senen scored 2-1 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nestor Senon, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Honorato Obano came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Rivas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Honorato Obano couldn't finish the play. Nestor Senon didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from German Senen went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Nestor Senon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Honorato Obano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After 53 minutes, Filomeno Chaime mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Atletico Galvez and the Rivas players grew even worse after the yellow card. 54 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Galvez's goalkeeper Nestor Senon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by German Senen. Filomeno Chaime kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. In the 57th minute, Honorato Obano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 59th match minute, Club Atletico Galvez was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anibal Haimar to maneuver through the defense. Placido Frances made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anier Enol in the 62nd minute of play. In the 70th minute Anier Enol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Placido Frances saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filomeno Chaime in the 71st minute of play forced Rivas's goalkeeper Placido Frances to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Rivas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Placido Frances should have stopped the shot. After 92 minutes, Anier Enol made it 6-2 with a short kick to the right side. Rivas's Placido Frances tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 96th minute German Senen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nestor Senon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rivas's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Club Atletico Galvez had won, even though Rivas had held more of the ball.
