In the 7thth minute of the game Jesus Muno who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rivas's Placido Frances was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Enrique Mero charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Enrique Mero the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, German Senen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rivas's supporters rose to their feet, but German Senen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bruno Iban breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With his leg Bruno Iban managed to avoid a goal in the 16thth minute, when Rivas's Honorato Obano fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If German Senen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. German Senen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Bruno Iban tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling German Senen in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bruno Iban prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Rivas getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Ariel Vermudo hit a great ball. Rivas's Placido Frances played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matias Merexildo in the 30th minute of play. With a little luck, Naipe FC's Bruno Iban got control of the ball when Honorato Obano tried to sneak it across the goal line. German Senen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Bruno Iban tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bruno Iban made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Honorato Obano sent off a good shot on target. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Matias Merexildo was the one to do the kick off. Matias Merexildo struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Placido Frances didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Naipe FC. Bruno Iban took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from German Senen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bruno Iban made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from German Senen in the 60th minute of play. German Senen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bruno Iban read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind Naipe FC's goalkeeper Bruno Iban, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Naipe FC's Matias Merexildo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Placido Frances. That made the score 0-1 after 73 minutes of play. Bruno Iban took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from German Senen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Placido Frances was a little too slow when Enrique Mero got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 80th minute. The score was now 0-2. Honorato Obano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ariel Vermudo charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ariel Vermudo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Naipe FC booed when Rivas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ariel Vermudo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 91st minute, German Senen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bruno Iban was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. When the final whistle went the supporters of Naipe FC were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Rivas side.
