The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Barakaldo C.F.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 11 minutes, Erubiel Gonza mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bruno and the Barakaldo C.F. players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 11th minute, Erubiel Gonza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Efrain Bernard made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ceferino Milio in the 12th minute of play. Teobaldo Txomin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. After 32 played minutes Barakaldo C.F. got a freekick which was hit by Tomas Onbera. In the 35th minute Danilo Sabino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramiro Arixo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Teobaldo Txomin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Isaias Calvino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Efrain Bernard having to interfere. 77 minutes into the match, Bruno's goal looked a bit too open when Justino Vasco came free, but Efrain Bernard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 79 minutes Bruno's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Iker Ilazki who took care of the corner kick. When Isaias Calvino came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Barakaldo C.F. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isaias Calvino couldn't finish the play. If Teobaldo Txomin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hernan Torres charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hernan Torres the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ceferino Milio in the 96th minute of play forced Bruno's goalkeeper Efrain Bernard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
