Seating: 1667, VIP seats: 144) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Fulgencio Lucado kicked off to start the match. In the 5th minute, Fulgencio Lucado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 6 minutes into the game, Esteban Ihazintu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Oasis's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Independiente the free kick. In the 7th minute, Esteban Ihazintu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Independiente's Fulgencio Lucado in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Oasis's goalie prevented a goal. Fulgencio Lucado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Remigio Rayman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Paolo Baraquiel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eduardo Lia hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fulgencio Lucado in the 25th minute of play forced Oasis's goalkeeper Paolo Baraquiel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paolo Baraquiel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Remigio Cuartio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 29 minutes into the match, Oasis's goal looked a bit too open when Fulgencio Lucado came free, but Paolo Baraquiel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Oasis's Cipriano Rexino got a free kick in the 30th minute. In the 37th match minute, Independiente was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rene Rafe to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Oasis's Laureano Iban tried to score from far away in the 38th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 47 minutes into the match, Remigio Rayman notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Oasis's Paolo Baraquiel. Paolo Baraquiel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Oasis players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Independiente were winning 0-1.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Godfredo Beturian was the one to do the kick off. Remigio Cuartio charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Remigio Cuartio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Remigio Cuartio hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fulgencio Lucado in the 57th minute of play forced Oasis's goalkeeper Paolo Baraquiel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Remigio Rayman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Efrain Dominic recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Oasis's zone, Remigio Rayman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paolo Baraquiel came out of the goal and Remigio Rayman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Oasis's Paolo Baraquiel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fulgencio Lucado in the 71st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Independiente's Fulgencio Lucado got a free kick in the 73rd minute. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 76th minute of the game. One of Oasis:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Independiente:s goal. In the 86th minute, Independiente's Fulgencio Lucado dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. Independiente's Remigio Rayman got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Efrain Dominic fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florencio Kaiet having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Efrain Dominic managed to get in a good position for a shot. Oasis's supporters rose to their feet, but Efrain Dominic was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Florencio Kaiet breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Godfredo Beturian recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 99th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
