The Naipe FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bruno Iban should have stopped the shot. Enrique Mero charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Enrique Mero the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 36th minute, Los Hornos F.C's Jose Restu seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Jose Restu the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Los Hornos F.C protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Jose Restu had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 36 minutes into the game, one of Los Hornos F.C:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Daniel Procopio walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Tobias Vincent recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bruno Iban showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tobias Vincent, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Matias Merexildo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Tobias Vincent had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 87th minute, Tobias Vincent got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Los Hornos F.C defense, Matias Merexildo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonatan Francis. The Los Hornos F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonatan Francis should have stopped the shot. Naipe FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
