Spectators: 7051 (Terracing: 5397, Seating: 1654, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Emanuel Iratxo kicked off to start the match. 4 minutes into the match, Banfield's goal looked a bit too open when Israel Anaya came free, but Jacobo Mingo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Deportivo Cabral's Emanuel Iratxo got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Deportivo Cabral booed when Banfield was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amadeo Laurin didn't get a good kick on the ball. 13 minutes into the match, Banfield's goal looked a bit too open when Emanuel Iratxo came free, but Jacobo Mingo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Banfield's Jacobo Mingo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Israel Anaya in the 16th minute of play. In the 19th match minute, Banfield was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuel Cuartio to maneuver through the defense. After 20 played minutes Deportivo Cabral got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Iratxo. 23 minutes into the match, Israel Anaya notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Banfield's Jacobo Mingo. Jacobo Mingo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Israel Anaya might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jacobo Mingo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Israel Anaya ran back to his position shaking his head. If Israel Anaya had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Israel Anaya struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Jacobo Mingo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Deportivo Cabral. Jacobo Mingo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Iratxo in the 43rd minute of play. Jacobo Mingo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuel Iratxo, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Emanuel Iratxo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Jacobo Mingo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Segundo Admon stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Israel Anaya recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Banfield's Venancio Marino got a free kick in the 58th minute. Israel Anaya got in the 59th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Jacobo Mingo handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. In the 62nd minute, Israel Anaya made a precise shot to the right of Jacobo Mingo. Banfield's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. In the 66th minute, Emanuel Iratxo fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Israel Anaya sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Jacobo Mingo managed to avoid a goal in the 73rdth minute, when Deportivo Cabral's Israel Anaya fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Iratxo in the 80th minute of play forced Banfield's goalkeeper Jacobo Mingo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Banfield's zone, Emanuel Iratxo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jacobo Mingo came out of the goal and Emanuel Iratxo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Segundo Admon kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. In the 98th minute German Constancio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacobo Mingo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
