Spectators: 6657 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1657, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Osvaldo Luix started the match with the kick off. Jacobo Mingo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Osvaldo Luix, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Angelo Ugutz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Jacobo Mingo made a huge save. Banfield's Jacobo Mingo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Banfield from getting a goal against them. Jacobo Mingo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osvaldo Luix in the 18th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Emanuel Cuartio during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Banfield's Emanuel Cuartio got a free kick in the 20th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Osvaldo Luix in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jacobo Mingo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 24th minute, Osvaldo Luix got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Osvaldo Luix sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jacobo Mingo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osvaldo Luix, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Osvaldo Luix kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jacobo Mingo. That made the score 1-0 in the 35 minute of play. Angelo Ugutz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Segundo Admon stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jacobo Mingo came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Cululú's Osvaldo Luix. But to his dismay, Osvaldo Luix quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Angelo Ugutz struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Jacobo Mingo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cululú. Osvaldo Luix might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jacobo Mingo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Osvaldo Luix ran back to his position shaking his head. After 74 minutes, Benicio Lucian mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Banfield and the Cululú players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Banfield getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Benicio Lucian hit a great ball. Cululú's Angelo Ugutz got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jacobo Mingo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osvaldo Luix, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cululú's Osvaldo Luix got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Osvaldo Luix took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jacobo Mingo. Jacobo Mingo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Cululú were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Banfield for a fine match.
