After having played for 4 minutes, Bonifacio Rivero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Penca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bonifacio Rivero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Bonifacio Rivero came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Penca fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bonifacio Rivero couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gilberto Diegotxe during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 19th minute, Gilberto Diegotxe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 22 minutes into the match, Evaristo Iliana had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ferenc Segesváry. Penca's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Evaristo Iliana was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Timoteo Teofilio struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Ferenc Segesváry didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for New Castle FC. 28 minutes into the match, Penca's goal looked a bit too open when Timoteo Teofilio came free, but Ferenc Segesváry reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Federico Blai during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. With an all-out effort, Penca's Niceto Beltza threw himself towards the right post 37 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Bonifacio Rivero, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 42 minutes into the match, Penca's goal looked a bit too open when Evaristo Iliana came free, but Ferenc Segesváry reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 53rd minute, Evaristo Iliana got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ferenc Segesváry made an important save on a dangerous shot by Evaristo Iliana in the 63rd minute. Evaristo Iliana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ferenc Segesváry showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Timoteo Teofilio, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute.
