When Inocencio Txomin came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Corazon Millonario fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Inocencio Txomin couldn't finish the play. In the 10th minute Apolo Frechoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacobo Mingo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Apolo Frechoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobo Mingo having to interfere. In the 23rd minute, Segundo Admon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 31st minute Apolo Frechoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacobo Mingo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 35th minute, Inocencio Txomin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net.
