After some careless play in the Deportivo Cabral defense, Manuel Salvidor kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Teo Urtzi. The Deportivo Cabral fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Teo Urtzi should have stopped the shot. Delmiro Ireno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from German Constancio in the 29th minute of play. Igor Gamus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 34 minutes into the game, Emanuel Iratxo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Deportivo Cabral's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave River Plate the free kick. Deportivo Cabral's Javier Vela was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Delmiro Ireno in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Deportivo Cabral's Teo Urtzi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuel Salvidor in the 71st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Igor Gamus in the 72nd minute of play forced Deportivo Cabral's goalkeeper Teo Urtzi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Teo Urtzi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Manuel Salvidor went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Teo Urtzi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Igor Gamus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Iratxo in the 81st minute of play forced River Plate's goalkeeper Delmiro Ireno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Delmiro Ireno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuel Iratxo, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Ovidio Atarratze hit a great ball. River Plate's Igor Gamus got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 91st match minute, River Plate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teodosio Gagriel to maneuver through the defense. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Deportivo Cabral's goalkeeper Teo Urtzi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 95th minute Igor Gamus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teo Urtzi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. River Plate walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
