Spectators: 6678 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1678, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Igor Gamus kicked off to start the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pedro Bizen during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 3 played minutes Cululú got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Bizen. In the 5th minute, Cululú's Tomas Rufio seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Tomas Rufio the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Cululú protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Tomas Rufio had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Samuel Santana stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Igor Gamus's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. After a defensive mix-up in River Plate's zone, Angelo Ugutz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Delmiro Ireno came out of the goal and Angelo Ugutz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 17th match minute, Cululú was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andres Ermano to maneuver through the defense. In the 20th minute, Andres Ermano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 22 minutes into the match, Cululú's goal looked a bit too open when Igor Gamus came free, but Samuel Santana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 27 minutes, Igor Gamus made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Cululú's Samuel Santana tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Angelo Ugutz got free with Delmiro Ireno in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Igor Gamus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Angelo Ugutz during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Samuel Santana came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by River Plate's Manuel Salvidor. But to his dismay, Manuel Salvidor quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. After having played for 48 minutes, Igor Gamus managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. River Plate's supporters crossed their fingers, but Igor Gamus was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Cululú players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. River Plate were winning 0-4.

The wind increased when Angelo Ugutz made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to River Plate getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Teodosio Gagriel hit a great ball. 58 minutes into the match, Cululú's goal looked a bit too open when Igor Gamus came free, but Samuel Santana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 58 minutes into the game, Nicanor Beturian was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cululú's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave River Plate the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Igor Gamus in the 79th minute of play forced Cululú's goalkeeper Samuel Santana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Igor Gamus in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Samuel Santana saved Cululú from getting behind. If Igor Gamus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cululú's Samuel Santana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Igor Gamus in the 96th minute of play. River Plate's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
