Nunez Vincent showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manuel Salvidor, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. When River Plate's Igor Gamus in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Changos 's goalie prevented a goal. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

A collision led to River Plate getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Igor Gamus hit a great ball. Raul Macerio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Delmiro Ireno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 55 played minutes River Plate got a freekick which was hit by Pablo Tonio. Delmiro Ireno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raul Macerio in the 56th minute of play. If Fermin Cordara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. Fermin Cordara showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. When Fermin Cordara came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the River Plate fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fermin Cordara couldn't finish the play. Teodosio Gagriel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nunez Vincent having to interfere. Atilano Cordearo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Nunez Vincent tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nunez Vincent was out of position in the 87 minute of play, and Manuel Salvidor capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Manuel Salvidor really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. River Plate played a much better game than Changos and deserved their victory. The Changos players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
