Reynaldo Marquez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Jacobo Mingo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Banfield booed when Penca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodrigo Arixo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jacobo Mingo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bonifacio Rivero in the 12th minute of the match. Moises Garikoitz kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Bonifacio Rivero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Jacobo Mingo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 19th match minute, Banfield was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amadeo Laurin to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bonifacio Rivero in the 21st minute of play forced Banfield's goalkeeper Jacobo Mingo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Banfield getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Benicio Lucian hit a great ball. When Penca's Bonifacio Rivero in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Banfield's goalie prevented a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bonifacio Rivero in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jacobo Mingo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rodrigo Arixo kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Reynaldo Marquez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobo Mingo having to interfere. After 43 minutes of play, Penca's Bonifacio Rivero made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jacobo Mingo was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bonifacio Rivero to strike the kick off in the second half. Emanuel Cuartio kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eliseo Beturian got free with Jacobo Mingo in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With his leg Jacobo Mingo managed to avoid a goal in the 58thth minute, when Penca's Bonifacio Rivero fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Bonifacio Rivero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Jacobo Mingo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Amadeo Laurin hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Penca's Bonifacio Rivero slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jacobo Mingo. That made the score 0-2 after 63 minutes of play. Bonifacio Rivero kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. In the 67th minute, Reynaldo Marquez made a precise shot to the right of Jacobo Mingo. Banfield's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. A collision led to Penca getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Rodrigo Arixo hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Penca's Bonifacio Rivero got a free kick in the 76th minute. After a rather tough play, Banfield's Benicio Lucian got a free kick in the 78th minute. With a little luck, Banfield's Jacobo Mingo got control of the ball when Bonifacio Rivero tried to sneak it across the goal line. Penca's Eliseo Beturian shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 82nd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Jacobo Mingo but with some difficulty. Venancio Marino fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 87th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball bounced in the crossbar and then went out. It was a very nice shot. Jacobo Mingo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bonifacio Rivero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bonifacio Rivero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Penca supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Penca would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
