After 14th play minutes Igor Gamus shot 0-2, a short shot which went by Teo Urtzi and just under the crossbar into goal. The River Plate fans' excitement grew in the 22nd match minute when River Plate's Igor Gamus looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Teo Urtzi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Igor Gamus in the 25th minute of the match. After 26 minutes, Igor Gamus made it 0-4 with a short kick to the right side. Deportivo Cabral's Teo Urtzi tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Teo Urtzi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fermin Cordara went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. Americo Inguma charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Americo Inguma the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. River Plate's Hugo Txurio was substituted for Manuel Salvidor. After 34 played minutes Deportivo Cabral got a freekick which was hit by Americo Inguma. An unexpectedly hard shot by Igor Gamus in the 36th minute of play forced Deportivo Cabral's goalkeeper Teo Urtzi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. German Constancio's late challenge caught a River Plate's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. German Constancio helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Deportivo Cabral getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. German Constancio hit a great ball. In the 41st minute Hugo Txurio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teo Urtzi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Teodosio Gagriel managed to get in a good position for a shot. River Plate's supporters rose to their feet, but Teodosio Gagriel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Teo Urtzi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 72nd minute of the match, Igor Gamus tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Teo Urtzi saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The crowd rose to their feet as River Plate's Hugo Txurio slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Teo Urtzi. That made the score 0-6 after 73 minutes of play. After some careless play in the River Plate defense, Emanuel Iratxo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Delmiro Ireno. The River Plate fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Delmiro Ireno should have stopped the shot. 81 minutes into the match, Deportivo Cabral's goal looked a bit too open when Igor Gamus came free, but Teo Urtzi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Teo Urtzi didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 85th minute, which inside left pole to 1-8. If Igor Gamus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Delmiro Ireno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Iratxo in the 94th minute of play. The Deportivo Cabral fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. River Plate were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
