Jacobo Mingo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Natalio Etxatxu in the 5th minute of play. 7 minutes into the match, Banfield's goal looked a bit too open when Natalio Etxatxu came free, but Jacobo Mingo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Ciriaco Leoncio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Basilio Ezkerra hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Ambrosio Leobardo struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Jacobo Mingo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for LUJAN F.C.. Jacobo Mingo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ciriaco Leoncio in the 17th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Banfield's Benicio Lucian got a free kick in the 17th minute. 20 minutes into the match, Banfield's goal looked a bit too open when Natalio Etxatxu came free, but Jacobo Mingo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jacobo Mingo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ciriaco Leoncio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 26 minutes into the match, LUJAN F.C.'s Natalio Etxatxu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jacobo Mingo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Natalio Etxatxu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jacobo Mingo was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. Ciriaco Leoncio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Jacobo Mingo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 35th minute, Natalio Etxatxu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ciriaco Leoncio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Jacobo Mingo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jacobo Mingo came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by LUJAN F.C.'s Natalio Etxatxu. But to his dismay, Natalio Etxatxu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 42 minutes into the match, LUJAN F.C.'s Natalio Etxatxu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jacobo Mingo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of LUJAN F.C. booed when Banfield was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Venancio Marino didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 47 minutes, Ciriaco Leoncio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. LUJAN F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Ciriaco Leoncio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Banfield players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. LUJAN F.C. were winning 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Natalio Etxatxu to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd match minute, LUJAN F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Florentino Bortzaioriz to maneuver through the defense. Segundo Admon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Banfield's Jacobo Mingo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Natalio Etxatxu in the 61st minute of play. Florentino Bortzaioriz hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. 69 minutes into the match, Natalio Etxatxu dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jacobo Mingo, 0-3. An unexpected shot in the 76th minute by Natalio Etxatxu got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Jacobo Mingo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Natalio Etxatxu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ciriaco Leoncio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 88 minutes of play, LUJAN F.C.'s Ciriaco Leoncio made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jacobo Mingo was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Segundo Admon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Banfield's supporters rose to their feet, but Segundo Admon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mario Gonzo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ciriaco Leoncio got free with Jacobo Mingo in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Benicio Lucian struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Mario Gonzo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Banfield.
