Spectators: 7046 (Terracing: 5393, Seating: 1653, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Osvaldo Luix started the match with the kick off. In the 8th minute, Osvaldo Luix ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jacobo Mingo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. If Osvaldo Luix had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 16 minutes, Osvaldo Luix managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cululú's supporters crossed their fingers, but Osvaldo Luix was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Osvaldo Luix recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jacobo Mingo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Bizen in the 24th minute of play. Angelo Ugutz struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Jacobo Mingo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cululú. After 37 minutes of play, Cululú's Angelo Ugutz made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jacobo Mingo was left in no man's land by his defense there!

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Segundo Admon stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Cululú's Angelo Ugutz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jacobo Mingo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Banfield's Jacobo Mingo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Banfield from getting a goal against them. In the 60th minute, Andres Ermano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jacobo Mingo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. When Osvaldo Luix, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 63 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Jacobo Mingo was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Osvaldo Luix fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobo Mingo having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Banfield's Benicio Lucian got a free kick in the 72nd minute. If Osvaldo Luix had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 75 minutes, Angelo Ugutz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cululú's supporters crossed their fingers, but Angelo Ugutz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Osvaldo Luix came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Cululú fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Osvaldo Luix couldn't finish the play. Angelo Ugutz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jacobo Mingo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. When Segundo Admon fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Banfield's protests and gave Segundo Admon a yellow card for diving instead. Segundo Admon hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Angelo Ugutz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Jacobo Mingo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Angelo Ugutz might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jacobo Mingo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Angelo Ugutz ran back to his position shaking his head. Osvaldo Luix's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jacobo Mingo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. Jacobo Mingo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osvaldo Luix, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benicio Lucian's late challenge caught a Cululú's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benicio Lucian helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Cululú booed when Banfield was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benicio Lucian didn't get a good kick on the ball. Angelo Ugutz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Jacobo Mingo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Banfield fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Cululú were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
