Seating: 1661, VIP seats: 143) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Arnaldo Mergildo made the kick off which started today's match. If Arnaldo Mergildo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Silvestre Fe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Arnaldo Mergildo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Paulo Vargas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Silvestre Fe came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Palanca fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Silvestre Fe couldn't finish the play. After 14 played minutes Palanca got a freekick which was hit by Melquiades Montez. In the 16th minute of the match Constantino Fagildo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tadeo Santio skillfully saved the ball. In the 19th minute Arnaldo Mergildo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Vargas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Aquilino Dabi took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Tadeo Santio to make any attempt to save it. Virgilio Salvadore sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 35 played minutes Anquincila got a freekick which was hit by Jonatan Bartoleme. Silvestre Fe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Paulo Vargas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 40 minutes, Guaberto Calisto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Palanca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Guaberto Calisto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rafael Cordaryal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Palanca's Tadeo Santio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafael Cordaryal in the 52nd minute of play. Tadeo Santio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonatan Bartoleme in the 55th minute of the match. Jorge Bernad recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Arnaldo Mergildo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Jorge Bernad came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Palanca fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jorge Bernad couldn't finish the play. Tadeo Santio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonatan Bartoleme in the 76th minute of play. After 81 played minutes Palanca got a freekick which was hit by Nicolas Orlin. 88 minutes into the match, Palanca's Jorge Bernad sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Paulo Vargas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Paulino Fresco hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Palanca's Silvestre Fe got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tadeo Santio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafael Cordaryal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Anquincila players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
