The crowd rose to their feet as Arnaldo Mergildo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Benigno Lucado. That made the score 1-1 in the 11 minute of play. Cayetano Horado hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Benigno Lucado stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arnaldo Mergildo's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. Silvestre Fe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benigno Lucado having to interfere. Benigno Lucado was out of position in the 48 minute of play, and Virgilio Salvadore capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Virgilio Salvadore really showed his touch with that goal: 4-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Palanca's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
