In the 5th minute, Anquincila's Donato Peio seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Donato Peio the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Anquincila protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Donato Peio had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 5th minute, one of Anquincila:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Anquincila. In the 7th minute there was a penalty for Santino FC. Amado Osoitz stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Paulo Vargas. 1-0. Paulo Vargas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amado Osoitz, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Amado Osoitz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paulo Vargas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. Paulo Vargas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amado Osoitz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonatan Bartoleme charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jonatan Bartoleme the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Santino FC booed when Anquincila was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonatan Bartoleme didn't get a good kick on the ball. Amado Osoitz might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Paulo Vargas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Amado Osoitz ran back to his position shaking his head. After 23 played minutes Anquincila got a freekick which was hit by Jonatan Bartoleme. Paulino Fresco's late challenge caught a Santino FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paulino Fresco helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Anquincila's Paulino Fresco got a free kick in the 24th minute. Jonatan Bartoleme kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Placido Cruz in the 33rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Paulo Vargas, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 36th minute, Leo Oihan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Paulo Vargas was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. In the 40th minute Placido Silban shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Vargas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amado Osoitz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Vargas having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Anquincila's Jonatan Bartoleme got a free kick in the 47th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Leheren was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 53 minutes, Amado Osoitz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Santino FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amado Osoitz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Amado Osoitz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Vargas having to interfere. Paulo Vargas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Flavio Gregory's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. 63 minutes into the match, Anquincila's goal looked a bit too open when Placido Cruz came free, but Paulo Vargas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Placido Silban struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Paulo Vargas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Santino FC. Amado Osoitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Placido Cruz in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paulo Vargas saved Anquincila from getting behind. Anquincila's Paulo Vargas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Placido Silban in the 79th minute of play. Paulo Vargas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Placido Cruz in the 80th minute of play. 82 minutes into the match, Santino FC's Amado Osoitz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Paulo Vargas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Santino FC's Elpidio Soin got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Paulo Vargas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Placido Cruz in the 93rd minute of play. 97 minutes into the match, Anquincila's goal looked a bit too open when Amado Osoitz came free, but Paulo Vargas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Santino FC fully deserved thier win.
