The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Virgilio Peruxu in the 7th minute of play forced Peña AFC's goalkeeper Prospero Mitxaut to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Virgilio Peruxu was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. 11 minutes into the match, Peña AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Blas Ishmael came free, but Prospero Mitxaut reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Virgilio Peruxu kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. With a little luck, Bochini's Zeledon Savion got control of the ball when Paulino Nuñez tried to sneak it across the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, Bochini's goalkeeper Zeledon Savion had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Paulino Nuñez. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paulino Nuñez got free with Zeledon Savion in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Blas Ishmael had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Prospero Mitxaut took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teobaldo Gaspard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Blas Ishmael had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Peña AFC's Guido Noe got a free kick in the 34th minute. Virgilio Peruxu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Prospero Mitxaut having to interfere. Peña AFC's Prospero Mitxaut played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Virgilio Peruxu in the 44th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Blas Ishmael in the 47th minute of play forced Peña AFC's goalkeeper Prospero Mitxaut to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paulino Nuñez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Zeledon Savion made a huge save. After the first half Bochini were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Blas Ishmael to make the kick off. Virgilio Peruxu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Prospero Mitxaut read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. Teobaldo Gaspard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Prospero Mitxaut having to interfere. The supporters of Peña AFC booed when Bochini was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Virgilio Peruxu didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Teobaldo Gaspard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Blas Ishmael had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zeledon Savion made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clemente Dacio in the 66th minute of play. If Teodosio Eztebe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. Prospero Mitxaut tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 81st minute, Guido Noe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Peña AFC's Prospero Mitxaut played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Blas Ishmael in the 89th minute of play. If Teobaldo Gaspard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Virgilio Peruxu might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Prospero Mitxaut. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Virgilio Peruxu ran back to his position shaking his head. When Guido Noe came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Peña AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guido Noe couldn't finish the play.
