In the 4th minute, Palanca's Melquiades Montez seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Melquiades Montez the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Palanca protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Melquiades Montez had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Tadeo Santio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ubaldo Birjaio in the 9th minute of play. Tadeo Santio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jesus Transito in the 11th minute of play. Tadeo Santio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rodolfo Loi went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jesus Transito in the 15th minute of play forced Palanca's goalkeeper Tadeo Santio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 16 minutes, Guaberto Calisto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Palanca and the Catenaccio F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Palanca's Guaberto Calisto got a free kick in the 16th minute. Tadeo Santio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodolfo Loi in the 18th minute of play. In the 26th minute Ubaldo Birjaio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tadeo Santio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tadeo Santio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ubaldo Birjaio, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. A collision led to Palanca getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Guaberto Calisto hit a great ball. Silvestre Fe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tadeo Santio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jesus Transito in the 36th minute of play. With a little luck, Catenaccio F.C.'s Aquiles Frascuelo got control of the ball when Jorge Bernad tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Silvestre Fe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvestre Fe in the 44th minute of play forced Catenaccio F.C.'s goalkeeper Aquiles Frascuelo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Silvestre Fe made a kick off. After having played for 51 minutes, Jesus Transito managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Catenaccio F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Jesus Transito was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 52 played minutes Palanca got a freekick which was hit by Guaberto Calisto. Nestor Quirze took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 53rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tadeo Santio. Palanca's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Silvestre Fe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Silvestre Fe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Silvestre Fe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Silvestre Fe took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aquiles Frascuelo. Aquiles Frascuelo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Jesus Transito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Tadeo Santio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 70 minutes, Arnaldo Mergildo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Palanca and the Catenaccio F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Catenaccio F.C. booed when Palanca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnaldo Mergildo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tadeo Santio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bonifacio Perutxo in the 77th minute of play. After 79 played minutes, Catenaccio F.C.'s Nestor Quirze shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tadeo Santio came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Catenaccio F.C. reached it. 80 minutes into the match, Palanca's goalkeeper Tadeo Santio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jesus Transito. Aquiles Frascuelo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silvestre Fe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Catenaccio F.C.'s Ubaldo Birjaio slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tadeo Santio. That made the score 1-2 after 83 minutes of play. Jorge Bernad received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Aquiles Frascuelo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Silvestre Fe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 90th minute, Silvestre Fe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jorge Bernad fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aquiles Frascuelo having to interfere. With a little luck, Palanca's Tadeo Santio got control of the ball when Jesus Transito tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Catenaccio F.C. players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
