Marcelo Maureo helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Ave Fenix booed when Pochin FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcelo Maureo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rogelio Porfiro was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 15th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Pochin FC's zone, Teodoro Piearres stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sixto Quexal came out of the goal and Teodoro Piearres tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sixto Quexal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teodoro Piearres in the 19th minute of the match. Humberto Pello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Sixto Quexal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcelo Maureo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvio Suero having to interfere. Teodoro Piearres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 43 played minutes Ave Fenix got a freekick which was hit by Cipriano Qwinton. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Teodoro Piearres made a kick off. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luisito Sol couldn't finish the play. After 80 minutes, Nunez Jon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pochin FC and the Ave Fenix players grew even worse after the yellow card.
