Ave Fenix's Silvio Suero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raimundo Veremundo in the 17th minute of play. Silvio Suero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raimundo Veremundo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Ave Fenix's zone, Rigoberto Quintyn stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silvio Suero came out of the goal and Rigoberto Quintyn tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Raimundo Veremundo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 41 minutes into the game, one of Verdolaga FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Raimundo Veremundo to make the kick off. Luisito Sol could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Cai Wei Ming made a huge save. Silvio Suero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raimundo Veremundo in the 56th minute of the match. If Raimundo Veremundo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Verdolaga FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Ave Fenix's performance. The match ended with a win for Ave Fenix.
