Benjamin Lobo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Augusto Alvarez went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. 25 minutes into the match, Palermo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Esteve Tancredo came free, but Ladislao Heli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge Palben in the 28th minute of play forced Palermo FC's goalkeeper Ladislao Heli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Deportivo Union Central getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Jorge Palben hit a great ball. 32 minutes into the match, Igor Jaunzuria had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benjamin Lobo. Deportivo Union Central's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Igor Jaunzuria was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. After 37 minutes Palermo FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Serafin Fiz who took care of the corner kick. Augusto Alvarez hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Serafin Fiz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Ladislao Heli made a huge save. Emilio Quiroga's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 40thth minute, Ladislao Heli skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Ladislao Heli made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Emilio Quiroga sent off a good shot on target. Deportivo Union Central's attentive Edgardo Abilio managed to snatch the ball when Flavio Ler made a throw-in in the 47th minute of the game. Palermo FC's Ladislao Heli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorge Palben in the 48th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Emilio Quiroga stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nunez Eleder hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zeledon Azibar in the 53rd minute of play forced Deportivo Union Central's goalkeeper Benjamin Lobo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jorge Palben recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emilio Quiroga in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ladislao Heli saved Palermo FC from getting behind. In the 58th minute Augusto Nisio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ladislao Heli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ladislao Heli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emilio Quiroga in the 64th minute of the match. In the 68th minute, Jorge Palben made a precise shot to the right of Ladislao Heli. Palermo FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Ladislao Heli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emilio Quiroga in the 71st minute of the match. Ladislao Heli came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by Deportivo Union Central's Jorge Palben. But to his dismay, Jorge Palben quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Deportivo Union Central's Benjamin Lobo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Braulio Gurutz in the 76th minute of play. Jorge Palben scored 3-3 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ladislao Heli, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgardo Abilio in the 81st minute of play forced Palermo FC's goalkeeper Ladislao Heli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Deportivo Union Central getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Nunez Eleder hit a great ball. If Esteve Tancredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 88 minutes into the match, Esteve Tancredo notched a goal, 4-3, to the right of Palermo FC's Ladislao Heli. Ladislao Heli was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ladislao Heli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorge Palben, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Emilio Quiroga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ladislao Heli having to interfere.
