After having played for 8 minutes, Augusto Alvarez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Palermo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Augusto Alvarez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zeledon Azibar in the 15th minute of play forced Superquates F.C's goalkeeper Romeo Javiar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Palermo FC defense, Esteban Felo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ladislao Heli. The Palermo FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ladislao Heli should have stopped the shot. In the 21st minute, Esteban Felo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Romeo Javiar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zeledon Azibar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Zeledon Azibar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Romeo Javiar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zeledon Azibar, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Palermo FC's goalkeeper Ladislao Heli, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Esteban Felo in the 40th minute of play forced Palermo FC's goalkeeper Ladislao Heli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bonifacio Jerico blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ladislao Heli having to make a save. After the first half Superquates F.C were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bonifacio Jerico to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Bonifacio Jerico hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Romeo Javiar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zeledon Azibar in the 55th minute of the match. Palermo FC's Augusto Alvarez got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Esteban Felos short, quick shot in the 60thth minute got Ladislao Heli to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Zeledon Azibar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Romeo Javiar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. When Bonifacio Jerico, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 66 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Ladislao Heli was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. The supporters of Superquates F.C booed when Palermo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Igor Jaunzuria didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Esteban Felo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zeledon Azibar might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Romeo Javiar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zeledon Azibar ran back to his position shaking his head. Romeo Javiar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zeledon Azibar in the 79th minute of play. Superquates F.C were awarded a corner in the 90th minute after Palermo FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Aurelio Maura took the corner. Superquates F.C's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
