Spectators: 6912 (Terracing: 5412, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 0) When Zeledon Azibar came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Palermo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zeledon Azibar couldn't finish the play. Prudencio Veronica in the 8thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ladislao Heli, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Celso Gonzalez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ladislao Heli read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. In the 10th match minute, Palermo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jairo Navarro to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot 12 in the game by Prudencio Veronica from a close distance when the talented Ladislao Heli managed to make a qualified save. Palermo FC's players were relieved. Prudencio Veronica took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ladislao Heli. Ladislao Heli dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Zeledon Azibar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filomeno Ospin having to interfere. When Prudencio Veronica came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Los Leales fans jumped to their feet. Filomeno Ospin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augusto Alvarez in the 27th minute of play. In the 39th minute, Gavino Ubelteso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Prudencio Veronica received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Ladislao Heli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Prudencio Veronica could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Ladislao Heli made a huge save. Augusto Alvarez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

In the 52nd match minute, Palermo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Braulio Gurutz to maneuver through the defense. If Prudencio Veronica had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Palermo FC's zone, Celso Gonzalez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ladislao Heli came out of the goal and Celso Gonzalez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Prudencio Veronica had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ladislao Heli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celso Gonzalez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Prudencio Veronica recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Prudencio Veronica had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Celso Gonzalez took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ladislao Heli. Ladislao Heli dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. If Prudencio Veronica had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zeledon Azibar kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Los Leales's zone, Zeledon Azibar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Filomeno Ospin came out of the goal and Zeledon Azibar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ladislao Heli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abel Erasto, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. In the 88th minute Zeledon Azibar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filomeno Ospin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Palermo FC booed when Los Leales was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amador Oro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Filomeno Ospin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zeledon Azibar in the 94th minute of play. In the 99th minute Prudencio Veronica shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ladislao Heli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Los Leales's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
