Spectators: 7238 (Terracing: 5430, Seating: 1665, VIP seats: 143) SANTA PAOLA's Rodolfo Paulin started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience was convinced that Clemente Xacintu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Apolo Lorien was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. Apolo Lorien took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aristides Txilar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Miguel Peru during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 13th minute, Miguel Peru hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 14th minute of the match Abelardo Chepe shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Apolo Lorien showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Aristides Txilar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Apolo Lorien having to interfere. In the 16th match minute, SANTA PAOLA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hector Nikola to maneuver through the defense. Aristides Txilar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Apolo Lorien tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Rodolfo Paulin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 29 minutes of play, SANTA PAOLA's Rodolfo Paulin made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Abelardo Cambranes was left in no man's land by his defense there! Apolo Lorien showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aristides Txilar in the 34th minute of the match. 40 minutes into the match, SANTA PAOLA's goal looked a bit too open when Clemente Xacintu came free, but Apolo Lorien reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Clemente Xacintu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

In the 53rd minute, Aristides Txilar fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Apolo Lorien, passed just outside the right post. When Rodolfo Paulin came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the SANTA PAOLA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rodolfo Paulin couldn't finish the play. Santo Cugat recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Rodolfo Paulin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Clemente Xacintu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 68 minutes, Clemente Xacintu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Diamante AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Clemente Xacintu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, SANTA PAOLA's Ezequiel Erroman got a free kick in the 70th minute. Abelardo Chepe, 70 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Aristides Txilar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 79 minutes into the game, Ezequiel Erroman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SANTA PAOLA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Diamante AFC the free kick. Diamante AFC's Abelardo Chepe couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 80th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for SANTA PAOLA. In the 82nd minute Aristides Txilar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Apolo Lorien saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Clemente Xacintu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Clemente Xacintu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the referee blew the final whistle, SANTA PAOLA could leave the field as winners, despite Diamante AFC having more of the ball for most of the match.
