Alcira's Cirilo Chico played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aristides Txilar in the 9th minute of play. Teodosio Loco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abelardo Cambranes having to interfere. Cirilo Chico made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clemente Xacintu in the 24th minute of play. Cirilo Chico took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clemente Xacintu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 31 minutes into the match, Alcira's goal looked a bit too open when Clemente Xacintu came free, but Cirilo Chico reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aristides Txilar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Teodosio Loco struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Abelardo Cambranes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alcira. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teodosio Loco in the 47th minute of play forced Diamante AFC's goalkeeper Abelardo Cambranes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 62nd minute Aristides Txilar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cirilo Chico saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cirilo Chico was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Aristides Txilar showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 74 minute of play. Alcira's Cirilo Chico proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Alcira from getting a goal against them. 1-4 became the score in the 85th minute when Clemente Xacintu elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 90th minute, one of Diamante AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Diamante AFC. The referee gave Alcira a penalty, 92 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Angelino Beremundo, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Diamante AFC's Abelardo Cambranes. 2-4. The Diamante AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Diamante AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
