Spectators: 7231 (Terracing: 5425, Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 143) Diamante AFC's Aristides Txilar started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 played minutes, Benard's Luis Rico shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Abelardo Cambranes came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Benard reached it. Jesus Urtun's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Abelardo Cambranes firmly grabbed it by the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Clemente Xacintu in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mauro Ospin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Aristides Txilar scored 0-1 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mauro Ospin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 18 minutes into the game, Nicanor Toro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Diamante AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Benard the free kick. In the 18th match minute, Diamante AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicanor Toro to maneuver through the defense. 20 minutes into the match, Diamante AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Freddy Isias came free, but Abelardo Cambranes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, Diamante AFC's goalkeeper Abelardo Cambranes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jesus Urtun. Diamante AFC's Abelardo Cambranes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Freddy Isias in the 31st minute of play. Aristides Txilar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Freddy Isias stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mauro Ospin came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Diamante AFC's Aristides Txilar. But to his dismay, Aristides Txilar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Abelardo Cambranes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jesus Urtun in the 58th minute of the match. During the 58th minute of the match Nicanor Toro completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Nicanor Toro a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Benard booed when Diamante AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicanor Toro didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Freddy Isias came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Benard fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Freddy Isias couldn't finish the play. 66 minutes into the match, Benard's goalkeeper Mauro Ospin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Clemente Xacintu. Clemente Xacintu scored 0-3 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mauro Ospin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Freddy Isias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abelardo Cambranes having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Freddy Isias's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Abelardo Cambranes was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. Aristides Txilar's late challenge caught a Benard's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aristides Txilar helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Benard booed when Diamante AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aristides Txilar didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Jeronimo Aurken fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Benard's protests and gave Jeronimo Aurken a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Benard's Jeronimo Aurken got a free kick in the 91st minute. Freddy Isias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Abelardo Cambranes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Diamante AFC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Benard.
