Aquiles Arias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gualterio Xabel having to interfere. 15 minutes into the game, Atilano Bemabe was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Corti's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Plátanos AFC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Corti's Atilano Bemabe got a free kick in the 15th minute. Corti's Gualterio Xabel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aquiles Arias in the 17th minute of play. After 22 played minutes Corti got a freekick which was hit by Prospero Enmanuel. After having played for 23 minutes, Aquiles Arias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Plátanos AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aquiles Arias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Aquiles Arias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Teo Cordearo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 29thth minute, Augusto Isauro skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 35th minute, Teo Cordearo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 43 minutes into the game, Plátanos AFC's Jonas Vermudo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gualterio Xabel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Augusto Isauro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Narciso Bernad in the 74th minute of the match. Aquiles Arias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 79 minutes, Aquiles Arias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. In the 91st minute, Aquiles Arias got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Corti's Gualterio Xabel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonas Vermudo in the 95th minute of play. 96 minutes into the game, one of Corti:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Plátanos AFC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
