Spectators: 7188 (Terracing: 5393, Seating: 1653, VIP seats: 142) Alberto Marin made the kick off and thus started the match. The supporters of Plátanos AFC booed when Los Abejorros Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonatan Menendo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 10 minutes into the match, Los Abejorros Club's goal looked a bit too open when Higinio Mannie came free, but Nestor Duardo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 12th minute, Gavino Shepherd hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 15th match minute, Los Abejorros Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Delmar Gasteiz to maneuver through the defense. Alberto Marin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nestor Duardo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Higinio Mannie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 31st minute, Paolo Claude got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Plátanos AFC's Higinio Mannie got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alberto Marin got free with Augusto Isauro in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jonatan Menendo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

After 53 minutes of play, Plátanos AFC's Jonas Vermudo made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nestor Duardo was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 57th match minute, Plátanos AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricardo Palben to maneuver through the defense. Alberto Marin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augusto Isauro having to interfere. Victorio Nahia's late challenge caught a Los Abejorros Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Victorio Nahia helped the player get up and apologised. In the 63rd match minute, Plátanos AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victorio Nahia to maneuver through the defense. After 65 played minutes, Los Abejorros Club's Joel Enetz shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Augusto Isauro came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Los Abejorros Club reached it. After 67 played minutes Los Abejorros Club got a freekick which was hit by Joel Enetz. 68 minutes into the match, Higinio Mannie dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Nestor Duardo, 0-2. Augusto Isauro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Marin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 74th minute Paolo Claude shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Augusto Isauro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Plátanos AFC's Higinio Mannie in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Los Abejorros Club's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, Los Abejorros Club's Jonatan Menendo got a free kick in the 77th minute. Augusto Isauro came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Los Abejorros Club's Alberto Marin. But to his dismay, Alberto Marin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. 87 minutes into the match, Los Abejorros Club's goal looked a bit too open when Igor Francesco came free, but Nestor Duardo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Augusto Isauro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paolo Claude in the 91st minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Paolo Claude in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Augusto Isauro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Plátanos AFC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
