Covunco FC's Leo Criston proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 49th minute of the match, managed to save Covunco FC from getting a goal against them. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rodrigo Ieltxu to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Nuevos Comienzos's zone, Rodrigo Ieltxu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aurelio Quexal came out of the goal and Rodrigo Ieltxu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 60 minutes into the match, Damaso Berriotxoa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leo Criston. Covunco FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Damaso Berriotxoa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. 70 minutes into the game, Damaso Berriotxoa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Leo Criston was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 76 minutes into the match, Covunco FC's goal looked a bit too open when Emanuel Darien came free, but Leo Criston reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emanuel Darien fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leo Criston having to interfere. Damaso Berriotxoa might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leo Criston. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Damaso Berriotxoa ran back to his position shaking his head. Leo Criston showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damaso Berriotxoa, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Damaso Berriotxoa kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Leo Criston came out of the goal in the 97th minute to try and stop a shot by Nuevos Comienzos's Emanuel Darien. But to his dismay, Emanuel Darien quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2.
