Leo Criston was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Estudiantes de La Plata getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Joaquin Enol hit a great ball. Rodrigo Ieltxu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Federico Demesio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Estudiantes de La Plata supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Estudiantes de La Plata would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
