Erubiel Frascuelo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Baldomero Etxahun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernesto Ekain in the 32nd minute of play. If Erubiel Frascuelo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Apolo Bertin struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Ariel Millan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Panqueua. Ariel Millan made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Guillermo Beremundo sent off a good shot on target. Baldomero Etxahun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erubiel Frascuelo in the 42nd minute of play. If Erubiel Frascuelo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The wind increased when Apolo Bertin made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, ateneo.f.c. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erubiel Frascuelo to maneuver through the defense. Guillermo Demario hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Baldomero Etxahun was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ernesto Ekain showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 61 minute of play. The supporters of ateneo.f.c. booed when Panqueua was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillermo Demario didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ariel Millan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guillermo Beremundo in the 79th minute of the match. A hard, long distance shot from Omar Modestio flew over the goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. ateneo.f.c. had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
