Emiliano Nerio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardo Ioritz having to interfere. Paolo Eutropio scored 0-3 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Casimiro Bertin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Viedma AFC's zone, Emiliano Nerio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bernardo Ioritz came out of the goal and Emiliano Nerio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Filiberto Rosalio made a kick off. When Filiberto Rosalio came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Viedma AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Filiberto Rosalio couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Viedma AFC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Ciriaco Abreu hit a great ball. Casimiro Bertin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paolo Eutropio in the 59th minute of the match. 63 minutes into the game, Miguel Polentzi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Racing Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Viedma AFC the free kick. Miguel Polentzi kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match.
