Prospero Lekubegi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Constantino Fernendo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Virgilio Dorio who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 25thth minute tested the skills of Prospero Lekubegi when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Ulises Barrionuevo hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. When Sarmiento FC's Javier Danel in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Prospero Lekubegi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Virgilio Dorio in the 37th minute. 48 minutes into the match, Chaviyú FC's goal looked a bit too open when Javier Danel came free, but Marcelino Pirmin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Javier Danel made a kick off. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Domingo Jatsu took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Marcelino Pirmin to make any attempt to save it. Javier Danel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcelino Pirmin made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Domingo Jatsu sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Sarmiento FC getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Celedonio Beila hit a great ball. Javier Danel hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. 67 minutes into the game, Casimiro Oriol was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chaviyú FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sarmiento FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Chaviyú FC's Casimiro Oriol got a free kick in the 68th minute. 68 minutes into the match, Sarmiento FC's Remigio Sayvion broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. The referee ignored Chaviyú FC's protests and gave Ernesto Rosalio a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Chaviyú FC's Ernesto Rosalio got a free kick in the 78th minute. Marcelino Pirmin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Javier Danel, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. A hard shot by Remigio Sayvion from long distance, 88 minutes into the match, got Marcelino Pirmin's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. A collision led to Sarmiento FC getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Feliberto Chayo hit a great ball. In the 97th minute of the match Santiago Oxel sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Prospero Lekubegi skillfully saved the ball. Sarmiento FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
