Armando Beti scored 0-1 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Prospero Lekubegi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 23 minutes into the game, Anmasan FC's Mateo Furman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Prospero Lekubegi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Mateo Furman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. After a defensive mix-up in Sarmiento FC's zone, Mateo Furman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Prospero Lekubegi came out of the goal and Mateo Furman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Prospero Lekubegi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mateo Furman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Armando Beti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Prospero Lekubegi having to interfere. Mateo Furman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Prospero Lekubegi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 47 minutes into the match, Sarmiento FC's goal looked a bit too open when Armando Beti came free, but Prospero Lekubegi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Anmasan FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 54th minute of the game. One of Sarmiento FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Anmasan FC:s goal. When the match had been going on for 55 minutes, Anmasan FC's Mateo Furman got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Prospero Lekubegi. Sarmiento FC's Ulises Barrionuevo got his second yellow card of the match in the 58th minute. The referee ordered Ulises Barrionuevo off the ground. In the 66thth minute of the game Mateo Furman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sarmiento FC's Prospero Lekubegi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Moises Tiso got free with Prospero Lekubegi in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 75th minute Mateo Furman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Prospero Lekubegi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Mateo Furman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Prospero Lekubegi was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. Prospero Lekubegi made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Armando Beti sent off a good shot on target. Prospero Lekubegi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Armando Beti in the 82nd minute.
