Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Leonides Basualdo got the match started through his kick off. After 9 played minutes Atlético Tacú got a freekick which was hit by Epifanio Brun. After a defensive mix-up in Atlético Tacú's zone, Leonides Basualdo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cayetano Joanes came out of the goal and Leonides Basualdo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leonides Basualdo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Cayetano Joanes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Delmar Ipar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cayetano Joanes having to interfere. Rene Valentine blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cayetano Joanes having to make a save. In the 25th minute, Teofilo Fe ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Guillermo Mateo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Carlos Mateus managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atlético Tacú's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Mateus was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Guillermo Mateo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Guillermo Mateo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teofilo Fe, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Guillermo Mateo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teofilo Fe in the 34th minute of play. Atlético Tacú's Cayetano Joanes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 48th minute of the match, managed to save Atlético Tacú from getting a goal against them. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Teofilo Fe was the one to do the kick off. With his leg Guillermo Mateo managed to avoid a goal in the 57thth minute, when Atlético Tacú's Carlos Mateus fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carlos Mateus got free with Guillermo Mateo in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match had gone on for 64 minutes, Teofilo Fe took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Guillermo Mateo to make any attempt to save it. Epifanio Brun kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Gualterio Ulizes kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Guillermo Mateo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Epifanio Charro's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. Cornelio Caetano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cayetano Joanes having to interfere. In the 73rd minute, Epifanio Charro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Teofilo Fe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leonides Basualdo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leonides Basualdo in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cayetano Joanes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. La Academia's Rene Valentine got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Leonides Basualdo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cayetano Joanes having to interfere. Teofilo Fe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Guillermo Mateo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Atlético Tacú eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
