Guillermo Mateo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filomeno Guerau, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leonides Basualdo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 11th minute, Leonides Basualdo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Cleto Jerrald. The goal made the score 1-0. In the 17th minute Chorrillos were awarded a corner. Jonathan Ikatz went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 22nd minute of the match Igor Victoro shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cleto Jerrald showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in La Academia's zone, Cristobal Valerio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guillermo Mateo came out of the goal and Cristobal Valerio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Gualterio Ulizes fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored La Academia's protests and gave Gualterio Ulizes a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to La Academia getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Gualterio Ulizes hit a great ball. Guillermo Mateo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ariel Gonzalez in the 28th minute of play. Leonides Basualdo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cleto Jerrald having to interfere. Miguel Chinto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Leonides Basualdo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leonides Basualdo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 42ndth minute tested the skills of Cleto Jerrald when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Chorrillos's zone, Delmar Ipar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cleto Jerrald came out of the goal and Delmar Ipar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leonides Basualdo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Cleto Jerrald tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of La Academia booed when Chorrillos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Serafino Aureo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Leonides Basualdo made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Chorrillos's zone, Cornelio Caetano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cleto Jerrald came out of the goal and Cornelio Caetano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Leonides Basualdo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Chorrillos's Ariel Gonzalez in the 59th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Guillermo Mateo was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for La Academia through an amazing save. Ariel Gonzalez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Guillermo Mateo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Leonides Basualdo managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Academia's supporters rose to their feet, but Leonides Basualdo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cleto Jerrald breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Leonides Basualdo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leonides Basualdo in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cleto Jerrald saved Chorrillos from getting behind. Andres Felipillo charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Andres Felipillo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Rene Valentine recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Chorrillos booed when La Academia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Delmar Ipar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leonides Basualdo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cleto Jerrald having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Chorrillos's zone, Delmar Ipar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cleto Jerrald came out of the goal and Delmar Ipar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. La Academia's Gualterio Ulizes got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. La Academia fully deserved thier win.
