Spectators: 7250 (Terracing: 5439, Seating: 1667, VIP seats: 144) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Bonifacio Vedillo kicked off to start the match. In the 4th minute, Andres Nuñez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pascual Ospin was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Bonifacio Vedillo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Amancio Elivareo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 17 minutes into the match, Sao Caetano's Andres Nuñez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pascual Ospin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Hector Taurino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bonifacio Vedillo in the 21st minute of the match. Pascual Ospin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andres Nuñez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Artaud FC's Adrian Bartoleme got a free kick in the 30th minute. Andres Nuñez's late challenge caught a Artaud FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Andres Nuñez helped the player get up and apologised. Andres Nuñez kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Andres Nuñez might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pascual Ospin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Andres Nuñez ran back to his position shaking his head. When Amadeo Cordarrol came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Sao Caetano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amadeo Cordarrol couldn't finish the play. When Juan Frutos fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Artaud FC's protests and gave Juan Frutos a yellow card for diving instead. After 46 played minutes Artaud FC got a freekick which was hit by Juan Frutos. The attack was good, but when Andres Nuñez in the 47th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal.

Pascual Ospin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Amancio Elivareo in the 54th minute. Amancio Elivareo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Pascual Ospin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfonso Urki in the 60th minute of play forced Sao Caetano's goalkeeper Hector Taurino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hector Taurino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bonifacio Vedillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hector Taurino came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Artaud FC's Alfonso Urki. But to his dismay, Alfonso Urki quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Juan Frutos got his second yellow card in the match during the 69th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 70th match minute, Artaud FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Frutos to maneuver through the defense. 71 minutes into the game, Amancio Elivareo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Pascual Ospin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Sao Caetano's Amancio Elivareo got a free kick in the 77th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Amadeo Cordarrol during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Amadeo Cordarrol kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andres Nuñez in the 82nd minute of play forced Artaud FC's goalkeeper Pascual Ospin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alfonso Urki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hector Taurino having to interfere. Sao Caetano's Hector Taurino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfonso Urki in the 89th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Amancio Elivareo got free with Pascual Ospin in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice moves Amancio Elivareo could shoot a difficult shot in the 95th minute, which Pascual Ospin however easily saved by the left post. Amancio Elivareo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pascual Ospin having to interfere. The Sao Caetano supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Sao Caetano would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
