An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfonso Urki in the 26th minute of play forced La Academia's goalkeeper Guillermo Mateo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cornelio Caetano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pascual Ospin having to interfere. La Academia's Leonides Basualdo got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 95 minutes, Cornelio Caetano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La Academia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cornelio Caetano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Artaud FC were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over La Academia's much stronger midfield.
