Augusto Izel's late challenge caught a Excursionistas F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Augusto Izel helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Empedrado getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Augusto Izel hit a great ball. Niceto Gonzales sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 13 minutes, Julian Patrido mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Excursionistas F.C. and the Empedrado players grew even worse after the yellow card. Julian Patrido hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Excursionistas F.C.'s zone, Dalmacio Remicio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bernardo Salvadore came out of the goal and Dalmacio Remicio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 16th minute of the match, Joel Harkaitz tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Bernardo Salvadore saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Bernardo Salvadore made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Pastor Maldonado sent off a good shot on target. Joel Harkaitz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardo Salvadore having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Niceto Gonzales made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Romulo Cordarrell managed to get in a good position for a shot. Excursionistas F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Romulo Cordarrell was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eleuterio Pes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Joel Harkaitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bernardo Salvadore showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pastor Maldonado, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. After some careless play in the Empedrado defense, Niceto Gonzales kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eleuterio Pes. The Empedrado fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eleuterio Pes should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Romulo Cordarrell managed to get in a good position for a shot. Excursionistas F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Romulo Cordarrell was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eleuterio Pes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Niceto Gonzales recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Joel Harkaitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Modesto Vermudo during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Modesto Vermudo kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Romulo Cordarrell managed to get in a good position for a shot. Excursionistas F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Romulo Cordarrell was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eleuterio Pes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 94th match minute, Empedrado was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joel Harkaitz to maneuver through the defense. When the match was over Excursionistas F.C. could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Empedrado throughout the match.
