After having played for 7 minutes, Luisito Gilabert managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sapag FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luisito Gilabert was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 16th minute, Luisito Gilabert ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bernardo Salvadore was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 21 minutes into the match, Sapag FC's goalkeeper Rafael Eztebe had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Romulo Cordarrell. Luisito Gilabert recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Excursionistas F.C.'s Bernardo Salvadore played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Erruki in the 23rd minute of play. Rafael Eztebe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Niceto Gonzales, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Ruperto Columbo hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. When Luisito Gilabert came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Sapag FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luisito Gilabert couldn't finish the play. When the match had gone on for 42 minutes, Saul Bonadona took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Rafael Eztebe to make any attempt to save it. Rafael Eztebe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Niceto Gonzales, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bernardo Salvadore showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luisito Gilabert in the 47th minute of the match. After the first half Sapag FC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

If Tomas Erruki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rafael Eztebe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romulo Cordarrell in the 55th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Tomas Erruki managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sapag FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Erruki was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bernardo Salvadore breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luisito Gilabert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 66th minute Erasmo Loramendi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafael Eztebe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A throw-in in the 68th minute of the game was made by Leandro Liher with Luisito Gilabert as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Luisito Gilabert came free with the goalkeeper in the 69th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Bernardo Salvadore could save by the left post. Luisito Gilabert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardo Salvadore having to interfere. Sapag FC's Luisito Gilabert got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 82nd minute, Luisito Gilabert got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 83rd minute, Erasmo Loramendi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luisito Gilabert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luisito Gilabert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Bernardo Salvadore tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Sapag FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
