The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 minutes, Christian Rocio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ferri and the Giant Killing players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 3rd match minute, Ferri was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christian Rocio to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernabe Norino in the 5th minute of play forced Giant Killing's goalkeeper Jean-Charles Graffin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 8 minutes into the match, Giant Killing's goal looked a bit too open when Bernabe Norino came free, but Jean-Charles Graffin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Giant Killing's Remigio Costante got a free kick in the 9th minute. 14 minutes into the match, Ferri's goal looked a bit too open when Remigio Costante came free, but Augusto Nevada reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17th minute, Osvaldo Demario fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After 17th play minutes Laureano Senio shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Augusto Nevada and just under the crossbar into goal. Anastasio Aresti scored 2-0 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Augusto Nevada, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Laureano Senio received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Augusto Nevada came out and tried to block the shot, but Laureano Senio slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 25th minute. In the 29th minute, Bernabe Norino ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jean-Charles Graffin was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Ferri's Edelmiro Orlan got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 36 minutes into the game, Carlos Tevez recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Augusto Nevada. Carlos Tevez showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-1. After a defensive mix-up in Ferri's zone, Carlos Tevez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Augusto Nevada came out of the goal and Carlos Tevez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 42 minutes, Edelmiro Orlan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ferri and the Giant Killing players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Ferri getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Edelmiro Orlan hit a great ball. With his leg Augusto Nevada managed to avoid a goal in the 44thth minute, when Giant Killing's Laureano Senio fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Carlos Tevez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Augusto Nevada having to make a save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-1.

55 minutes into the match, Giant Killing's goalkeeper Jean-Charles Graffin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edelmiro Orlan. Augusto Nevada showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Tevez, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. In the 61st minute, Carlos Tevez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Augusto Nevada was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-1. After a rather tough play, Giant Killing's Osvaldo Demario got a free kick in the 64th minute. Jean-Charles Graffin acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 65th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Hilario Teyo. Carlos Tevez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augusto Nevada having to interfere. The supporters of Giant Killing booed when Ferri was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evaristo Milio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Albino Isadore took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 74th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Augusto Nevada. Ferri's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Giant Killing's zone, Edelmiro Orlan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jean-Charles Graffin came out of the goal and Edelmiro Orlan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edelmiro Orlan came free with the goalkeeper in the 82nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jean-Charles Graffin could save by the left post. 86 minutes into the game, Laureano Senio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-1. Augusto Nevada was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Edelmiro Orlan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edelmiro Orlan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Jean-Charles Graffin made a huge save. Ferri's Augusto Nevada played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Tevez in the 95th minute of play. Augusto Nevada came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Giant Killing's Laureano Senio. But to his dismay, Laureano Senio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Giant Killing fans cheered their team off the field, for while Ferri had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
