With a little luck, baratto's Robustiano Furtado got control of the ball when Apolo Ticho tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 9th match minute, baratto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Astor Udalaitz to maneuver through the defense. In the 13th minute, Juan Fliz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The baratto fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Juan Fliz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Robustiano Furtado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anastasio Rencio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Robustiano Furtado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anastasio Rencio in the 24th minute of play. When Apolo Ticho came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Fitarruín AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Apolo Ticho couldn't finish the play. If Anastasio Rencio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 34 in the game by Apolo Ticho from a close distance when the talented Robustiano Furtado managed to make a qualified save. baratto's players were relieved. The audience thought a goal was coming when Apolo Ticho got free with Robustiano Furtado in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Robustiano Furtado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anastasio Rencio in the 38th minute of the match. If Anastasio Rencio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Apolo Ticho who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 48thth minute tested the skills of Robustiano Furtado when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Leonel Cordario to make the kick off. With his leg Dario Maidana managed to avoid a goal in the 54thth minute, when baratto's Juan Fliz fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Robustiano Furtado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anastasio Rencio in the 56th minute of the match. Mauro Incendio hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. In the 65th minute, Serafin Cordarrell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Juan Fliz managed to get in a good position for a shot. baratto's supporters rose to their feet, but Juan Fliz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dario Maidana breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 70th minute Leonel Cordario shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dario Maidana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 73 minutes into the game, Leonel Cordario recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dario Maidana. Leonel Cordario showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anastasio Rencio in the 90th minute of play forced baratto's goalkeeper Robustiano Furtado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The baratto supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing baratto would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
