After 33 played minutes Miguelon got a freekick which was hit by Felipe Rivero. 37 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Miguelon's Constantino Uxio fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Constantino Uxio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Guillermo Berenguer having to make a save. The supporters of Miguelon booed when Centro Austro-Hungaro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Conrado Sotero didn't get a good kick on the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The nice shot from Santos Urtats in the 76thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Guillermo Berenguer had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. 79 minutes into the match, Severino Botello had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cleto Xabel. Miguelon's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Severino Botello was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. After 85 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Miguelon! Constantino Uxio might have been able to make a better finish in the 97th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Guillermo Berenguer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Constantino Uxio ran back to his position shaking his head.
