The supporters of Boca Juniors booed when EL TALA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Norberto Cedro didn't get a good kick on the ball. EL TALA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rigoberto Ciceron was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After 34 played minutes Boca Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Lisandro Osasun. Narciso Tercero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alejo Ireno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Theodore in the 42nd minute of play. When Domingo Calisto came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Boca Juniors fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Domingo Calisto couldn't finish the play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

After having played for 53 minutes, Julian Theodore managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Boca Juniors's supporters crossed their fingers, but Julian Theodore was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, EL TALA's Bernardino Panpili got a free kick in the 64th minute. The supporters of Boca Juniors booed when EL TALA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastian Tauro didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Boca Juniors getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Rigoberto Ciceron hit a great ball. In the 80th minute, Boca Juniors's Julian Theodore dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. EL TALA's supporters rose to their feet, but Sebastian Tauro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Saul Poz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The EL TALA fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Boca Juniors were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
