Spectators: 6660 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1660, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Norberto Admon took the kick off in the first half of the match. After a rather tough play, San Lorenzo's Lázaro Sal got a free kick in the 5th minute. If Christian Fernado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Christian Fernado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 11 minutes of play, San Lorenzo's Norberto Admon made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Serafin Gaueko was left in no man's land by his defense there! Norberto Admon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Serafin Gaueko read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. Serafin Gaueko stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Christian Fernado's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. Elvio Bras's late challenge caught a San Lorenzo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Elvio Bras helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of San Lorenzo booed when Racing Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elvio Bras didn't get a good kick on the ball. 25 minutes into the match, Racing Club's goal looked a bit too open when Norberto Admon came free, but Serafin Gaueko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Norberto Admon in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Serafin Gaueko prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Christian Fernado struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Serafin Gaueko didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for San Lorenzo. If Octavio Gorri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Racing Club's Octavio Gorri slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Claudio Izotz. That made the score 1-1 after 34 minutes of play. Serafin Gaueko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Norberto Admon in the 46th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Octavio Gorri to make the kick off. Candido Boni's late challenge caught a Racing Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Candido Boni helped the player get up and apologised. Candido Boni hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Gerardo Fidencio charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gerardo Fidencio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 53 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for San Lorenzo! The excitement rose when Racing Club's Tobias Toli after 54 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for San Lorenzo's goalkeeper to hold. Score! 3-1. Claudio Izotz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Celestino Rozarius in the 62nd minute of the match. 64 minutes into the game, Teofilo Herensuge was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. San Lorenzo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Racing Club the free kick. After 64 played minutes San Lorenzo got a freekick which was hit by Teofilo Herensuge. In the 65th minute, Tobias Toli sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and San Lorenzo's Claudio Izotz didn't even have to move. Serafin Gaueko was out of position in the 72 minute of play, and Christian Fernado capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Christian Fernado really showed his touch with that goal: 3-2. Christian Fernado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serafin Gaueko having to interfere. After having played for 80 minutes, Octavio Gorri managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Racing Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Octavio Gorri was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. San Lorenzo's Christian Fernado got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Racing Club getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Roque Rocendo hit a great ball. Serafin Gaueko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Norberto Admon in the 87th minute of the match. After having played for 88 minutes, Christian Fernado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. San Lorenzo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christian Fernado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Elvio Bras was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 89 minutes had been played. In the 90th minute, Elvio Bras hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Roque Ostots sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Octavio Gorri helped the player get up and apologised. Octavio Gorri hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. In the 101st minute San Lorenzo were awarded a corner. Gerardo Fidencio went to the cornerflag to take it. For all the effort they put into the match, the San Lorenzo players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Racing Club.
