After a defensive mix-up in San Lorenzo's zone, Hilario Txordon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claudio Izotz came out of the goal and Hilario Txordon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Claudio Izotz made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Victorio Ortle sent off a good shot on target. Hilario Txordon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Claudio Izotz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hilario Txordon in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Claudio Izotz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lázaro Sal's late challenge caught a Talleres's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lázaro Sal helped the player get up and apologised. After 12 played minutes San Lorenzo got a freekick which was hit by Lázaro Sal. Talleres's Hilario Txordon got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Victorio Ortle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudio Izotz having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Victorio Ortle managed to get in a good position for a shot. Talleres's supporters rose to their feet, but Victorio Ortle was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Claudio Izotz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 23rd minute Hilario Txordon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudio Izotz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 26 minutes into the game, Talleres's Victorio Ortle nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Claudio Izotz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Victorio Ortle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Victorio Ortle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Hilario Txordon made the kick off in the second half. Victorio Ortle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudio Izotz having to interfere. After 62 minutes, Hilario Txordon made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. San Lorenzo's Claudio Izotz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Benjamin Fiz took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 72nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Claudio Izotz. San Lorenzo's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 73rdth minute of the game Hilario Txordon who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but San Lorenzo's Claudio Izotz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Hilario Txordon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Talleres booed when San Lorenzo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Candido Boni didn't get a good kick on the ball. Talleres's Flavio Chorache couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 78th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for San Lorenzo. In the 80th minute, Hilario Txordon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Talleres's supporters crossed their fingers, but Victorio Ortle was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gerardo Fidencio hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Victorio Ortle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudio Izotz having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Talleres had played much better football throughout.
