Abel Urtsin might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cornelio Arixo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Abel Urtsin ran back to his position shaking his head. 16 minutes into the game, Godfredo Naike was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cordona AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Guaraní AFC the free kick. Godfredo Naike hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. In the 37th minute, Guaraní AFC's Celestino Sabin seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Celestino Sabin the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Guaraní AFC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Celestino Sabin had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After a rather tough play, Guaraní AFC's Celestino Sabin got a free kick in the 38th minute. 41 minutes had been played when some careless play by Guaraní AFC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Zacarias Mon was slow to take the kick. During this time Cordona AFC's players had a chance to rest. Cornelio Arixo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Mateo Inguma showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 43 minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abel Urtsin got free with Cornelio Arixo in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.
